 r THE BEST running event in the UK\, possibly the world!\n\nRegister to 
 take part in 26.2 miles of pavement pounding along the closed off streets 
 of London. Take in the breath taking scenery of this epic event with thous
 ands of others for an event like no other!\n\nRegistration Fee: £100.00 
 (Non-refundable)\n\nFundraising Pledge: £2\,500.00\n\nWhy we charge a fe
 e:\n\nAs with any event there is a cost involved. Macmillan Caring Locally
  pay a fee to London Marathon Events for our Golden Bond places.\n\nAs wit
 h previous London Marathon events\, when people sign up we ask them to rai
 se a minimum amount of fundraising\, unfortunately with a running event pe
 ople can become injured or unable to fulfil their place due to circumstanc
 es out of their control.\n\nIn previous years\, it is unfortunate when peo
 ple have to pull out of their Golden Bond place but to register for their 
 place still costs the charity money. At the time of pulling out\, more oft
 en than not their fundraising hasn’t started or falls short of the targe
 t meaning Macmillan Caring Locally is at a loss.\n\nWe think a £100.00 re
 gistration fee is a fair amount to ensure the participant who is intereste
 d will be committed to raising money for Macmillan Caring Locally and to t
 heir training schedule.\n\nHow to register:\n\nIn the first instance\, ple
 ase complete the form below to register your interest. Should you be accep
 ted for this place\, we ask that you pay the registration fee within 7 wor
 king days of acceptance. Failure to do so will result in your place being 
 offered to someone else.\n\nWhat you will get when you run for us:\n\nMacm
 illan Caring Locally t-shirt to train in\nMacmillan Caring Locally running
  vest to take part in\nCollection tins or buckets for physical fundraising
 \nPaper based sponsorship form\nLink to an online sponsorship page\nMacmil
 lan Caring Locally representatives to cheer you on and meet you at the fin
 ish line\nHelp and advice with your fundraising if you need it\n\nMost imp
 ortantly:\n\nBy raising funds for Macmillan Caring Locally you will be mak
 ing a difference to the staff\, patients and their families who are cared 
 for in your local hospice and in their homes.\n\nTerms and Conditions:\n\n
 • Your £100.00 registration fee is payable within 7 working days after 
 acceptance\n• You must be at 80% of your fundraising target before the e
 vent date\n• If you are struggling with raising funds you must reach out
  to our Events Manager\, barry@macmillanlocal.org\n• If you are injured 
 or unable to complete your Marathon\, you must tell our Events Manager A.S
 .A.P\n• You will wear our running vest on the day\n• You are 18 years 
 or over\n• You are fit enough to take part in the London Marathon\n• W
 hen representing Macmillan Caring Locally through running and fundraising\
 , you will do so responsibly ensuring not to damage the reputation of the 
 charity\n• If asking any local businesses or community groups for suppor
 t\, you will contact the Events Manager for permission to protect any poss
 ible relationship we may have in place\n• Pictures will be taken at the 
 event to promote future running events for Macmillan Caring Locally\, if y
 ou do not wish for your picture to be taken\, please let us know\n• Macm
 illan Caring Locally are not responsible for any injuries or accidents whi
